Visiting somewhere and living there are entirely different experiences. This is not another book about spectacular New Zealand scenery. It’s about a year of life there among work and taxes and overcoming illness and having a baby. Of Christmas on the beach and giant wetas the cat brought in. It’s about meat pies and fish markets and sheep that live in backyards. All the everyday things that make this place special. These are the memories we’ve chosen to keep.
