About the Creator
Wlodzimierz Ksiazek (b.1951, Warsaw, Poland) received an M.F.A. from Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1975. In 1982, because of the imposition of martial law in Poland, he immigrated to New York City. He has shown at Marisa del Re Gallery and John Gibson Gallery in New York and currently he is represented by Kouros Gallery in New York and Alpha Gallery in Boston and has had his work exhibited throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. Ksiazek's work has been reviewed widely in Art in America, Art Forum, Art News, Tema Celeste, Art Press, ArtNet Magazine, Partisan Review, The Hudson Review, Boston Globe among others. Ksiazek has tough at numerous universities: Loughborough University (Loughborough, UK), Dartmunth College (Hanover, NH), University of Massachusetts (Boston, MA), School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston, MA) and many others. He was awarded many grants, fellowships and prizes. His work is in numerous public and privet collections in the U.S. and abroad.
