About the Creator
Children of Quirimbas
Washington, DC and Doha, Qatar
In the early spring of 2010, Sara and Aisha, 11th graders at Qatar Academy, sat anxiously and excitedly aboard their first flight to Africa. Within seven hours, the young women had left the modernity and comfort of Doha and begun a journey into a world unlike anyplace they’d ever been. We set up this fund to help them creatively raise money to build a new community learning center in the village of Enra in the Quirimbas National Park, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. Our US fiscal sponsor and partner in this endeavor is the 501 (c) 3 The Kamal Foundation
