About the Book
Lanzarote is famous in first place for its abundance of various colors in the landscape. Nonetheless this book attempts to show that the island also has a strong fascination in view of a reduction to subtle grey tones. The presented black & white pictures were taken during several visits to the island from 1987 until 2010.

As a former scientist in physics I worked in aeronautical industries until my retirement. Photography in black and white has been one of my main interests since many years. From 1990 through 2007 I worked with large format field cameras up to 8x10". In 2009 I closed down my darkroom and turned over to digital camera technique.
