      Atenas, Alajuela, COSTA RICA

A lover of nature and adventure since childhood in Arkansas, I spent my last three years of employment as a missionary in The Gambia, West Africa before retiring to nature and travel photography in Nashville, TN where I was a volunteer docent at Nashville Zoo, public school reading tutor and volunteer in my church. Photography, hiking, genealogy, and stamp collecting were a few of my many hobbies then. In 2014 I decided to move to Costa Rica, my then favorite place to travel. Retirement living costs in the U.S. were such that I could no longer afford to travel and live there, so I moved to where I like to travel! And that's just one reason! :-) I love living in Costa Rica, immersed in nature and a life of "pura vida" in a little developing country that prioritizes ecology and has no army! It's my utopia or Shangri-la! My Middle-earth or Narnia! Explore it with me through my photos in these books or in my online Gallery. :-) Click my "website" link above to learn more.
