About the Book
Unlike the entomologist who "pin up" his specimens carefully to not conceal their anatomy, I prefer to hide mine! What importance has the truth if it obliges me to destroy my subjects to dissect them. My insects are only approximations! If I intrude in their parallel everyday life it is to gather a few excerpts of their short stories which usually take place behind closed doors. Never mind if I miss what others regard as essential. And if I am deaf to the tragedies related to the survival of the species that prevail here. I am aware that my photographs only scratch the surface of this world. But with the hope to collect perhaps a touch of poetry!

About the Creator
David Ponce
Corenc (38), France
Through photography, I found a way not only to record memories, but also to express my feelings, a way to see the world in my own way. And the "frame", inherently reductive, proved me, on the contrary, that it can open new perspectives, which ask new questions.
