Race weekend is a festival weekend! Admittedly the houses don’t get given a new coat of paint and fresh geraniums don’t get hung from their balconies, but for the locals and keen motorcycle racing fans the second weekend in May is always a big party: riders from all over France, Switzerland and also a couple of Germans then drive with their camper vans through the tranquil village into the paddock at the foot of Mont St. Odile and stop for a couple of days for the Barr Hill Race.
