About the Book
Life as a rolling show of fragmentary images, captured here and there as the shutter fires. Images which hold a moment, not in documentary form but as an image from thought, sensation, texture, feel: the intangible bleeds into the real.
The fragments series is a collection of these sensations, recorded over 2 years in Ottawa and environs, an attempt to record something of the set of experiences comprising consciousness and the arrival, and discovery, of the self in a new environment. All images were shot with a home-made lens based around a digital pinhole.
