      About the Ebook

Take a journey to a Pine Plantation in northern Michigan. Follow where the dirt roads and paths lead you. Enjoy the beauty of the woods at sunset when a Ribbon of Gold runs through the trees. Look and compare the beauty of Old Growth forests with what you see in a Pine Plantation. Both are beautiful. Both have trees. One is artificially ordered. One has great variety. One has same-age trees while one has multi-aged trees.

The land where the Pine Plantations are, began as a forest only God can make - Old Growth, complex, multi-aged, and serenely beautiful. Man replanted the forest in his way, in rows and columns, trying to restore what had been destroyed. God has the last word and brought beauty out of the devastation and order.

Inside the forests, it is as if you are in a cathedral, where trees rise to the heavens and the sounds are like music to your ears. At sunset and dawn, the quiet beauty surrounds you. The sun paints the trees with light, wrapping them in softness and color. It is a worshipful experience.

“Of all man's works of art, a cathedral is greatest.

A vast and majestic tree is greater than that.”

      ~Henry Ward Beecher
