About the Book
Leora Lutz has created a beautiful, conceptual book that distills lines from the center of her personal copy of Walden by Henry David Thoreau. The excerpts create a new chance poem, blanketed by negative space that allows for stillness and contemplation when reading the words. This book was created in conjunction with an installation that is permanently embedded into the walls of a major San Francisco art institution. This book serves as the only remaining tangible object of that installation.

This book is intended for creative purposes only as an artist collector item, not to be used for research of Henry David Thoreau or Walden, as it is not a rendition of that book and should not be considered as such.
