About the Book
This book presents the work of three Swedish photographers
who prove that being deaf-blind is no handicap to taking
pictures. In fact, to the average eye, their images are truly
revealing. What’s more, despite being deaf-blind, each of the
three photographers has developed their own distinct style.

Taktil Foto (Tactile Photo) is a study of the significance and meaning of images to the deaf-blind. Three participants in the project with sight and hearing loss are learning how to handle a camera and take photographs independently within a given theme. The images will then be reproduced and displayed in a tactile medium involving raised contours and structures that can be felt with the fingertips.
