Cars are rhythmic creatures - the way any living creature has a natural rhythm that tells the world they are alive. I believe in the hard rhythm that cars have. Difficult. Not easy to keep going. And sometimes at great cost.

There is also a hard rhythm in the lines and sensuous curves of the automobile: the beautiful repeating patterns in the grills, the headlights, the wheels, the dashboards.

This book of photographs is a celebration of that heavy, glorious rhythm of the automobile.
