About the Book
St Petersburg, the city of Peter and Catherine the Great and Anna Akhmatova. A city housing extreme beauty - a city which has witnessed and endured unimaginable suffering. What better place to go looking for the soul? What better place to seek duality? Seeking humanity and exploring the outer limits of the mind?
I do not know what I am looking for. I seek something intangible, something not seen by the conscious eye. I seek what is root, what can only be perceived by the unconscious spirit, incomprehensible to the intellect. I seek emotions, moods, recognition, reflections of my inner self -confirmation of myself.
I work in the landscape between black and white. Pitch black and bright white. Extreme opposites. Reflecting my own psyche. What will I find? I do not know. I can only let myself go. Be like the river. Trying to float in an unclear and not well understood landscape, working without thinking. I am the thoughtless observer, and the camera is my tool. What will I perceive? What will catch my attention? I do not know. The images live their own lives, and I let them speaks for themselves.
Now I present the images to you. What will you perceive? What will catch your attention? You will be the judge of that.

I am a photographer interested in the human condition. My goal is to tell stories that move and touch. I want to access inner landscapes where everything is not clear and evident. In this process, I am keen on learning about, and reflecting on, what life really is. What life's vulnerabilities are, and how they affect our lives.
