About the Book
This is a photographic log of a cross-country trip I took with my sons in the summer of 2005. We drove from Urbana, Illinois to Randle, Washington, and then came back. We camped in state parks and National Parks most of the way in both directions, and there are many photographs of mountains and scenery. This is a huge book with over 400 pages and many hundreds of images. About 1/4 of the photos in this book feature my sons or friends or family, so it probably isn't a suitable book for wide audience. However, people who know us, or who are merely curious about what it would be like to drive across the country, might enjoy the book. The text I wrote to go along with the photographs isn't philosophical or intellectually stimulating. I just describe what the photographs show and explain where we went.
