About the Book
George Grubb, a native of Lexington, North Carolina, has traveled to every continent in the world photographing wildlife. From polar bears on the Arctic ice to gorillas in Rwanda to orangutans in Borneo, George brought his passion for wildlife photography to Davidson County Community College (DCCC) for a special exhibition titled, "Earth's Vanishing Species." This book features the thirty-six prints at the exhibition, coupled with summaries of each specie's threat rating and obstacles to survival, as derived from the International Union for Conservation of Nature's Red List of Threatened Species.
