A collection of photos taken during a journey through Bhutan and the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal in fall 2014. Texts describing my personal impressions augment the images. Emphasis is given to the architecture in both countries (the vernacular houses, temples, and fortresses of Bhutan and the temples and royal palaces of Nepal) and to the countryside of Bhutan, which is lovely in sunshine or in fog. This is not a travel promotion--it's an honest account.
