About the Book
EX NIHILO at the Brown/RISD Hillel:
Hillel Gallery Project is honored to be exhibiting work by artist Graham Guerra. Graham is an Assistant Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Pratt Institute of Art. He received a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA from Yale University. His large-scale charcoal and graphite drawings are created based on virtual models that he generates using digital photographic and 3D rendering technologies.
His work has been shown at Wardlow Gallery, Melbourne, Australia; Deborah Colton Gallery, Houston; Jack the Pelican Presents, Brooklyn; Van Brunt Gallery, New York; and Bellwether, New York, among others. His work has been included in Scope New York, Miami, and Hamptons as well as Kunst Zurich in Zurich, Switzerland. In 2008 he was awarded a Faculty Development Grant from the Pratt Institute of Art and a Wardlow International Residency in Melbourne, Austrialia.
The exhibit will run from January 23- February 4, 2009.
