About the Book
Orcas Island is part of the San Juan archipelago in the Puget Sound. It's occasionally connected to the mainland by Washington State ferries.
Orcas is a place, but it's also an idea and a way of life. As many ideas and ways of life as there are visitors. You won't find any cities or even traffic lights on Orcas; but you just might find yourself there.
In this book you will find an eclectic collection of Orcas snapshots. It is by no means a complete picture. Nor is it a single facet of Orcas. More of a beautiful Orcas collage.
Edna Gallery is located in the waterfront village of Eastsound on Orcas Island. Orcas is an Island in the San Juan archipelago in the Puget Sound. Edna Gallery is also online at www.ednagallery.com. Most of the pieces on display in the gallery are photographs by Martin. A few of the pieces in the gallery are work by Samantha, the up and coming artist in the family. All of the art pieces in the gallery are beautiful images of Orcas Island in all it's many splendid variety. All of our prints and mounting techniques are archival quality. Our prints must be seen to fully appreciate. Edna Gallery is owned by Martin and Marcia Taylor. Martin, Marcia and their daughter Samantha have lived on Orcas since 1998. They share a "rambling" waterfront home with Cosmo, Autumn and Tiger.
