About the Book
My husband, Paul, is a Disabled Veteran with numerous health issues. Though life itself is challenging for everyone, throw in a disability, or a few, and then the crazy lifestyle of off the grid living, and you find us right in the middle of it all, wearing grins, telling jokes, being pranksters, experimenting, exploring, and enjoying life as it unfolds before us. Our lifestyle is extremely challenging, but oh, so rewarding in so many ways. If you want something bad enough, you will make it happen, and we make life happen here.
About the Creator
I was born in Pittsfield Maine, and raised by very hard working parents. I was taught at a very young age to appreciate, respect and enjoy nature, and all that it has to offer. At 18, I married my high school sweetheart and together, we had three beautiful children, Alanda & Joshua. Our middle child, Dawn, passed away at 32 days due to a genetic defect known as Trisomy 18. Currently, we have three beautiful granddaughters who absolutely love spending time with us at camp. My husband is a Disabled Veteran who has both Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis. Many people wonder how we dare to stay in the Maine woods for extended periods of time. The answer to that question is simple, "It isn't as easy, but we love it." We make the best of what we have and what nature has to offer. Life is challenging for everyone, but no matter what is thrown at you, you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and face the world head-on. Want something? Find a way to make it happen!
