      Luigi Falai nasce a Firenze nel 1941, dove vive e lavora. Dal 1960 è presente nello studio del pittore e copiatore Adolfo Tagliaferri, quindi si iscrive alla Scuola Libera del Nudo dell'Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze nel 1964, sotto l'insegnamento di Emanuele Cavalli. Al 1967 frequenta lo studio del maestro Pietro Annigoni e in seguito quello di Romano Stefanelli, dove impara, tra le molteplici tecniche, la tempera grassa, l'affresco e lo strappo dell’affresco. Nella sua carriera ha ricevuto prestigiose commissioni, tra le quali si segnalano un dipinto a olio intitolato Don Giovanni Bosco tra i giovani per il Santuario Salesiano della Sacra Famiglia a Firenze, gli affreschi raffiguranti Il Bacio di Giuda e La consegna delle chiavi a Pietro per il Santuario di S. Michele Arcangelo a Ponte Buggianese (Pistoia) e l'affresco con I Sacramenti per la chiesa di Sant’Anna a Pietrelcina (Benevento). Insegna affresco dal 1983 presso la scuola americana S.A.C.I. “Studio Art Centers International” di Firenze, e dal 2001 presso La Bottega del Bon Fresco, aperta nel capoluogo toscano assieme ai colleghi Massimo Callossi e Mario Passavanti. Numerose le sue esposizioni di successo in città italiane ed estere. Da ricordare le personali all’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di San Francisco nel 1991, a New York nel 1992, a Perth in Australia nel 1993, a Bogotà in Colombia nel 1999, a Palazzo Panciatichi, sede del Consiglio Regionale della Toscana nel 2012, e nel 2014 a Pontassieve alla Casa Rossa.

      Danielle Villicana D'Annibale is an American artist, art dealer, and collector. She is the Founder and CEO of Villicana D'Annibale, Inc., an art gallery and artist agency headquartered in Pasadena, California. She is also Founder and Artistic Director of Via Cavour 85, an experimental space for contemporary art in Arezzo, Tuscany in Italy. ​ Born in San Francisco and raised in Pasadena and Laguna Beach, she earned a B.A in Art history and the Visual Arts from Occidental College in 1994 and a Diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti) in Rome in 2006. ​ ​Danielle has been actively promoting contemporary art and culture with her husband light designer Maurizio D'Annibale since 2010, organizing over 100 exhibits and numerous cultural events as well as creating over 50 artist catalogues and monographs.
