Douglas Graham’s career as a staff photographer spans more than 40 years. He's worked in the middle of some of the most important news stories of the past three decades, publishing photographs in dozens of national and international publications. A large portion of that career was in the hyper-restrictive world of national politics. Graham, now retired from political photography, has changed his focus from Capitol Hill to the rolling hills of the Blue Ridge. His work now is more local and homegrown and as he said more meaningful. Projects include helping to open a local newspaper Loudoun Now, covering Loudoun's fight against COVID 19, starting America's Routes in an attempt to save Loudoun's historic roads and work for the local tourism council. His most recent book is now out documenting his own back yard to create, "30 Days in June".
