Scot Fagerland is an amateur genealogist researching his own family history. He takes a series of road trips called Great Grand Genealogy Tours (GGGT) to find ancestral homes, cemeteries, photos, and documents. The GGGT 2015 covered the Plains States of ND, MN, IA, and SD. Family names include Fagerland, Beck, Meyer, Korb, Hanson, Sandver, Wiltse, Helten, Janowski, Anderson, Svare, Ackerman, Bartlett, and Mueller. This book chronicles Scot's two-week trip and describes the preliminary "detective work" that allowed him to rediscover several ancestors and sites that had been lost to family memory. It is richly illustrated with photographs of genealogical interest as well as the ambient Plains States scenery.
