Paintings by Laurie Doctor celebrating the poem of Galway Kinnell, "Another Night in the Ruins", with permission of the poet. Galway Kinnell asked for images in return, which resulted in this book. It includes images from my sketchbook that show how I developed the alphabet I wrote in, and poems from Kentucky poets– each responding to a particular painting. The series of paintings was exhibited at New Editions Gallery in Lexington, KY.
