About the Book
SDP is my first collection of poetry. I composed it to be viewed as a whole instead of a series of self sufficient poems anthologized by my publishers. The style is terse with extended metaphors and severe diction that will beat a dead hearse. Found materials and ready-mades amalgamate throughout the text but represent only droplets of the ocean in which I am adrift. I dislike wordy sentiments about butterflies and rainbows. I do not paint vapid sunsets. My heart is not a wingless dove / longing over his lost love. It doesn't matter what my childhood was like. These pages are not a psychiatrist's chair. I am not a flood within a drought / I am not a spark within a doubt. I am a dabbler in street art poetry – these are my dabbles.
