About the Ebook
FACEFULLY FACELESS
Piece of photographic and video work created in the time of confusion.
The time of discovering absurdity of life and the new ways of living.
In my project I have focused on the topic of absurdity in life, human ability to adapt to it and its connection to suicide thoughts. Incredible impact on my work had book "Psychology of adaptation to absurdity - tactics to make-believe" by Seymour and Rhoda Fisher where authors discuss what absurdity in life is and what impact it has on our lives, also how human death anxiety is connected to realization of possessing of mortal body. Also significant to my research was work of Albert Camus' “The myth of Sisyphus” where he studies connection between absurdity and suicide, calling suicide one truly serious philosophical problem, Camus also question the consequences of realization of absurdity. My starting point was theme of depression, mental health illness, feeling of isolation and finally the therapy through photography.
