About the Book
Vanessa Charles has had a life long passion for food and wellness. She grew up in a big family that encouraged everyone to be handy in the kitchen and present at the table for dinner and breakfast. She believes part of eating is soul food from gathering family and community around the table for meals. She has cooked most of these meals with friends and family over the last thirty years. A lot of these recipes have been adapted or are from friends, family, and teachers. Over the years she has studied nutrition and has slowly adapted her meals to be more nutritious but just as yummy. Food truly is our greatest medicine and Vanessa wants to help everyone feel their best.
