About the Book
Dressed For Death is an illustrated collection of twelve short horror stories- of ghosts, witches, and other eerie events. With sweeping, supernatural images accompanying every tale, it's a frightful, delightful compendium of tiny terrors.
Alexa Sharpe is a Los Angeles-based freelance illustrator specializing in books and comics. She is a Ryman Arts alumni and a graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). Much of her work seeks to walk the line between wonderment and terror. Gothic literature and 19th Century Culture, as well as their respective modern legacies, have been a longtime font of aesthetic inspiration. She also draws influence from her Filipino heritage, which afforded her a childhood steeped in superstition- and a fondness of any and all ghost stories. Her art and narratives, of spirits, witches, and all manner of strange occurrences, are a study in historical horror and deadly decadence.
