Kim Preston has been shooting portrait and fashion photography since 2009. For the next few years, Kim assisted for some of LA’s best advertising and commercial photographers who pushed her to take the next step. So, in 2012 she moved from her Pasadena home to New York City. During her 5 years in NYC, Kim shot for clothing brands, blogs, participated in NY Fashionweek, and began personal projects. Along the way, she became one of 6 executive directors of the fast growing Camera of the Month Club. A collective of mid level and professional photographers who share their work, host workshops, and group shows. Now back in Los Angeles, Kim has continued to shoot commercially, and has even launched the LA chapter of the Camera of the Month Club. “Girl About Town” is her first endeavor into the photography book world.
