About the Book
Arthur Grau works in design, performing, and media arts and science as part of his ongoing creative practice. He interprets natural forms, incites public participation, and advocates for new ways to perceive relationships. His early works re-envisioned crumbling urban environments through the Enzyme zine and as a musician with electro-wave trio Dissolve. Later, under the name Circa, he meditated on human relationships through intricate cut paper art, exploring geometry and symbolism. Using labyrinth installations and experiences, ‘Deeper Jester’, ‘Man-dala’, and ‘Mojave’ he engaged the public to deepen a sense of self in surroundings. ‘Mojave’ is now made visible by Google Earth. Most recently, ‘Kinetic Umbra’, captured the human form in long exposure and ’Type Bar’, incited participants to slow communication storytelling. Currently, Arthur examines the nature of the gift in society through the lens of a massive open online course, with Gratitude_x.
