About the Book
in "Double Vision" you will find yourself in the Oregon coastal forest and in the city of Chicago guided by collaborators who love and honor both. Through original poetry, journaling, and photography, they show how these two places are the same and different–how they both elicit fear and delight, are beautiful and ugly, inviting and forbidding. Proceeds from sales of "Double Vision" will go to The Spring Creek Project for Ideas, Nature, and the Written Word (Oregon State University).
"Love the voices–the mixture of rapture and reason."
"This is meditation–it needs to be felt in the hand."
"I too feel the grief of the clear cut, and the tree stump. I love that the gift was silence–I love the relationship between the two poets. The respect."
"I love the city/forest juxtaposition, the simplicity and the beauty of the images and the true collaboration that leaps off the pages."
"I like the way you acknowledge the life and breath of the forest and the city, and, how we are simply a part of both when in either."
"The notion of "Double Vision" works so well referring to the two of you having the experience in tandem, but also reflecting the duality of urban and natural worlds in sync or disparate."
