About the Book
Enter the mesmerizing world of deep temperate rainforest and idyllic stone-pebble beaches. Enjoy the creatures that call this jewel in the Puget Sound “home” - big and small, bold and shy, each with a story to tell.
Let this journal be where your inky thoughts mingle with the wild beauty of our little paradise, and - for just a little while - operate on Island Time.
Belen Bilgic Schneider is an amateur naturalist and wildlife photographer living in the Pacific Northwest’s Puget Sound. A thirteen-year resident of Anderson Island, she finds inspiration in this tiny oasis of towering trees and serene views that offer her a window into the secrets of nature - from majestic raptors on the hunt to baby birds exploring their new world, breaching orcas to curious raccoons. Belen shares those adventures on the blog WildChildTales.com with photography and storytelling.
