About the Book
Carol Mills, born in Hollywood in 1930, was among a brave group of women who broke into the world of abstract expressionist painting during the 1940s and 1950s. She studied in Los Angeles, Berkeley, Mexico, and Paris. This catalog--assembled by Carol's son after her death--documents a major retrospective of her work held in 2019 in the co-operative gallery she established 40 years earlier. The show and catalog featured 80 works created between the ages of 16 and 84. The book is filled with exquisite photos, including paintings, drawings, prints, animations, architectural renderings, and excerpts from exquisite narrative sketchbooks made on travels to 38 countries.
In the spirit of getting Carol's work more out into the world, we are offering these strictly at printing cost plus tax and shipping -- no profit is added.
