School on Wheels (SOW) is a nonprofit organization that enhances educational opportunities for children experiencing homelessness. I have been fortunate enough to participate in their mission as a volunteer tutor since I was twelve years old. Through this organization I was able to discover my passion for helping others and giving back to my community at an early stage in my life, and I am forever thankful and inspired by this. Because I believe education is such a vital part of improving our communities and wanted to extend my role as a tutor, “A Blissful Youth” came alive with the intention of all the proceeds helping SOW with their mission. “A Blissful Youth” is a collection of the personal and genuine thoughts that have raced through my mind as I learned new things about both myself and the world around me. This book is precious to me because it is not only a reflection of my emotions and experiences, but also filled with illustrations done by the talented students of SOW. Thank you, School on Wheels for such an eye-opening and priceless experience.
