      About the Book

      Edit

God himself came to Earth as a human being. In Jesus Christ, the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. If we did nothing more than feel spiritually connected or intellectually assent to Christ, we would never wipe the tears from his feet with our hair or grasp for the fringe of his robes. There is a reason that God created us as souls and bodies. When we ignore the physical, we give ourselves over to a heresy present since the early church—Gnosticism. It is through the sacraments that we remember who we are in Christ. These sacraments lived out in the church connect the experience of the body with the experience of the spirit.
