In 2009, we had two photography workshops, with over twenty photographers, at the Northern State Mental Hospital in Sedro Woolley, WA. The buildings are 100 years old and some of them are no longer in use. They were abandoned over 30 years ago. The theme was 'The Absence of Light', how the absence of light (black) can enhance your photography.

This book was created as a result of the amazing images captured by the photographers and portrays the emotions they felt.
