My recipe books are suitable for people following the RPAH Elimination Diet and Sue Dengate FAILSAFE diet, including food challenges and building up tolerance levels. My son Oscar was diagnosed through the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) Elimination Diet as being intolerant to Salicylates, Glutamates and most artificial colours, preservatives and additives. We have had to completely change our diet and the way we cook, as well as what we cook. As a result I started developing my own recipes and modifying recipes to suit our circumstances. The overflowing folder of recipes I was collecting prompted me to start publishing and sharing them with others also on the RPAH and Failsafe diets through my blog Cooking for Oscar (www.cookingforoscar.com). As a lover of printed cook books I also started exploring ways of printing my recipes in books for my own personal use and share.
