Your Role:

As the Senior Digital Designer, you'll collaborate with a kind, passionate, and dedicated team to ideate and develop innovative marketing campaigns, best-in-class designs, and strong branding. You’ll zoom out to drive short- and long-term visual strategy and conceptualize designs, presentations, templates, social media, and campaigns. But, you'll also zoom in to be extremely hands-on and creative in order to bring that strategy to life. You'll report to the Senior Director of Brand and Creative.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll:

  • Design for various platforms and media, including web, email, interactive, motion and social —maintaining high and consistent creative quality and output while applying brand guidelines.
  • Partner with the copy, content, web, digital, and email teams to translate briefs into actionable, channel-appropriate creative, campaigns, and promotions that inspire and meet business goals.
  • Collaborate with team and agency partners to own branded content production and serve as an integrated partner to the paid media team for distribution.
  • Lead presentations and effectively communicate a creative vision—working closely with key stakeholders and teams to contribute new ideas, trends, and innovative solutions in weekly brainstorms and reviews.
  • Manage and execute the entire creative process efficiently and on schedule, working with project managers and creative leadership to ensure that schedules are accurate and realistic, and deadlines are met.
  • Continually deepen your knowledge of Blurb products, experiences, and customers— including niche prosumers and professional audiences like photographers, graphic designers, and artists.

About you

To thrive as a senior designer at Blurb, you have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on demonstrated success and expertise in design, typography, color theory, web, email, image selection, and photo editing for consumer-focused brands (mix of in-house and agency work preferred).
  • Strong graphic design, typography, compositing, photo editing, and layout skills for projects ranging from interactive to email to social to motion to experiential to broadcast. Plus, the ability to motivate and inspire against assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated ability (and excitement) to be in the design trenches while simultaneously driving strategic design-think.
  • Ability to present, articulate, and defend creative work as well as collect, interpret, and incorporate design feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills and a creative personality to efficiently collaborate with and influence copywriters, agency partners, and business leaders.
  • High motivation with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment— managing multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing time and resources based on business impact.
  • Passion for design. You’re not satisfied with the status quo and always think of ways to improve.
  • A well-rounded portfolio of digital-centric work, demonstrating a solid understanding and fulfillment of brand/client objectives.*
  • Deep knowledge of creative design tools, collaboration tools, and digital platforms— including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), Canva, and prototyping tools such as Figma.
  • A fluency with UI design and UX principles.
