About the Creator
Jorge Posada is a painter, sculptor, print-maker and photographer who lives and works in New York. He received the very prestigious first prize at the National Saloon of Young Art at the Museum of Antioquia (Colombia). In New York, Posada studied lighting and sound for theater at LaGuardia Community College and was awarded a six year scholarship at the Lower East Side Print Shop. He received an Honorable Mention at Expresiones Hispanas Art tour which traveled two years in the USA. His artwork was showcased on Channel 13 in The New Immigrants. He created a 1.500 square ft mural at the Ritz Theater in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Posada has been dividing his time between New York, Belgium and Colombia. A new series of paintings as an homage to Rubens, Géricault and Monet has arisen from his sketches made during his trips in Europe. Posada’s artwork has been published in several art books. His work is in mayor private and public collections in the USA, Europe, Japan and Latin America.
