About the Ebook
Who Moved My KEYS takes a strong look at our behavior styles and how a faulty approach to recognizing our behavioral styles may be holding us back in work and in life.
KEYS is a metaphor for the knowledge that we seek in life to fulfill our purpose. Knowing our KEYS (People Skills) will help us to better understand our self and others.
We must first understand what business we are really in. Many people think that their product or service is what their business is all about. We are all in the people business first and foremost. If we are not serving our customers the way they desire to be served, we won’t be in business very long.
Eddie the Eagle is the CEO of this start-up company and is concerned about why the company is not doing as well as needed.
Each of the four characters in the book represents one of the four basic behavior styles. Eddie the Eagle represents the “Doer”, Peggy the Parrot is the “Talker”, Ollie the Owl is the “Thinker” and Dave the Dove is the “Listener.”
These 4 individuals are guided to discover their preferred behavior style by their behavioral consultant, Dr. Roger Raven who also helps Eddie understand how to ask for help without feeling foolish and how to encourage proper work place behavior. The KEYS to resolving any disagreement that may arise should always be to find a “win-win” solution for all concerned.
Eddie now finds it very helpful to take a hard look at his management style and leadership behavior as beginning steps to discovering what needs to happen to get the company back on track.
Living without a purpose can be very frustrating and can have a negative affect on any business. Everyone has a purpose in life, though we might not know how to recognize it. Dr. Raven provides very valuable incites to discovering our unique purpose. These are steps everyone can apply and encourages Eddie and staff to walk through them to better know themselves.
You are all invited to discover your KEYS as you read along.
