Blurb Launches Mobile App for Photo Books
San Francisco, Calif.— October 31, 2016 — Blurb, Inc., the leading creative book and magazine self-publishing platform, announced a new mobile app that allows customers to make a beautiful, professional-quality photo book in minutes. The free application, available for iPhone and iPad, is currently listed on the Apple App Store.
Blurb for iPhone and iPad—the newest way to make a photo book on the go—rounds out the company’s current tool portfolio, which includes a desktop application, browser-based tools, and Adobe integrated book-making capabilities.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with the best and easiest ways to create professional-quality photo books anywhere, anytime,” said Todd Larsen, Chief Executive Officer of Blurb. “We wanted to ensure the app we developed is fast and easy to use, while maintaining professional quality, and allows users to share with friends and family.”
The book-making app allows customers to choose between a 7x7 in. square matte, ImageWrap hardcover photo book and the new, mobile exclusive, 5x5 in. square matte, softcover photo book. Both sizes come with Premium Lustre quality paper, which offers great tonal range and contrast. Users are able to autoflow their selected images and modify the layout of the entire book with one click, as well as incorporate photos by collection or from shared albums. Once the book is complete, users are able to share their book with friends, family and fans via Facebook, Twitter or SMS.”
During the past decade, Blurb has been committed to offering its users a range of free book-making tools that cater to all skill levels. Now users are able to make photo books, trade books, magazines, and ebooks, creating endless publishing possibilities.
