Tania Myren: BFA Professional Actor Training Program SUNY Purchase, MFA Playwriting UCLA, PhD Theatre UC Santa Barbara. Tania most recently directed the Open Eye premiere of The Man Behind The Curtain, and is currently directing a reading of her play Midsummer Madness, also at the Open Eye. She worked as a professional actress in NYC and regional theatres all around the country with occasional forays into film and TV for 10 years before becoming a mother. She helped found The Hyde Park Festival Theatre in Hyde Park NY and subsequently served as co-Artistic Director for two seasons, where she adapted, directed and played Juliet in Romeo Loves Juliet, and Mosca in a commedia-style adaptation of Volpone. Winner: Southern California Playwright’s Competition, Audrey Skirball-Kenis New Play Merit award and grant, UCLA Best New Play Competition for original full-length, Capoeira. Her play, The Further Adventures of Anse and Bhule in Noman’s Land was made into an award-winning film.
