Shannon Historical Associates, also referred to as Shannon Historical Research, is a non-profit and non-religious entity dedicated to investigating various subjects including deserted burial grounds, tombstones, vanished communities, abandoned amusement parks, and property chronicles. The establishment of Shannon Historical Associates took place in May 2007 under the leadership of Dustin Ray Shannon. In 2012, Shannon relocated to Wichita with the intention of offering his services as a volunteer at the Old Cowtown Museum. Subsequently, in October 2018, Shannon moved to Huntsville, Alabama to collaborate with other historical and genealogical organizations.
