Since receiving my B.F.A. in Photography in 1985 from Northern Kentucky University I have, at times, struggled with the notion of image-making as an avocation. This personal dilemma I finally reconciled: "Though I don’t make my living through photography, I do use a camera to capture what I must, and with that deliberate act I hope instead to make a difference."
