About

As a professional forklift operator, I work for a company of shelving in tangier. In this region during lean times, I could always get a ride at one of the local tree fruit cooperatives for harvest. It was admittedly seasonal but just working on receiving regards from the manager. Point is that earning a reputation as a quality forklift operator is a very good fallback skill to have on a resume. Managers generally want to know that you'll show up on time, every time, ready for work. They need to know that you are a safe operator, that you won't beat up the forklift, and are diligent about pre-shift checks. And that you care about what's on your forks and the trucks that you're unloading.
I remember a small fleet owner who ran a load of feed to a fish farm I had just started working and he just smiled. Said he was happy to see me unloading his truck and not somebody who would just slam into his trailers.
