Jesse DeStasio is a multimedia artist living and working in NYC.

When he was young an Indian shaman approached him at a flea market, and with a quick gesture of his finger tracing little Jesse's forehead, he declared "God gave you more intelligence, drink one glass of milk** a day and do your homework". To clarify, by "Indian", I mean "From India", not "Native American". Anyways, I never did my homework...um I mean Jesse DeStasio never did his homework.

One time at Mystic Seaport a stingray tried to jump out the petting tank and both gill holes on either side of the beast's underbelly were moving and it looked like it was talking. Jesse took that to mean the stingray was his guardian spirit animal like in Indian lore. And this time by "Indian", I mean "Native American".

When not painting, Jesse runs Eerie Theory Entertainment, an independent Licensing and Merchandising company.
