LILA J. BAKKE has been engaged in professional writing and editing since 1986; this is her first book of poetry. She earned her MA in English at the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and her JD at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She lives and works in Maryland with her husband, James, their 4 parrots and 2 cats.
