    About the Ebook

The images in this book mainly show the Anatolian region, a journey of almost 4,000 km crossing cities, villages, countryside and mountain areas. Personally I was fascinated by three places in particular: the Sumela Monastery, the Citadel of Ani and the fortress of Ishak Pasha. However it is impossible to forget the enthusiasm felt at each new stage of the journey and the curiosity to know the hidden wonders of this country rich in enchanting natural and scenic landscapes, culture, history and artistic expression. The journey takes the form of a dialogue between the place and the observer, it becomes the vehicle for interaction with the environment in which it has fallen and the knowledge of the places.
When the inevitable moment of leaving this marvelous country comes, there will remain a small fragment in your heart. A person, a gesture, a helping hand in a difficult moment, a child's smile, a lost place, a landscape of which you did not see the end, the vestiges of ancient civilizations or the color of a sunset admired from above mountains. The effort of the long journey will be amply repaid by the emotions, the memories, the scents that will be part of your consciousness and your spirit from that moment on.

    Monica Gotta
    Italia
