About the Ebook
As it happens to me, what I most fell in love with was its people. Friendly, with an attitude of innocence, without contamination of the Western world. Pure souls! It was like a science fiction film to reach the town of Opuwo, where the tribes and certain modernity coexist daily with total naturalness. You can be in a supermarket and see semi-nude Himba women, with their bodies smeared with that red dye and their original hairstyles doing the shopping and then walking kilometers of kilometers to reach their village. It is very striking to see those of the Himba tribe and the Herero who dress as their colonizers dressed in Victorian style with their dresses with many colors of crinoline and those hats of cow horns lined with fabrics that are part of a touch of that style. It is very sad to continue listening to stories of how the colonizers in Africa have mistreated the indigenous people, the true owners of these lands, as has also happened in America and in several other continents.
