About
Amelia B. Kyazze is a photographer, writer and humanitarian based in London, UK.
Living as an anthropology student in Nepal during a turbulent political period, she was fascinated by both the stunning landscapes and the chaotic political upheaval, often expressed in graffiti. She lived with students throughout the protests, documenting their views through personal interviews and portraits, while travelling to different parts of the country. These interviews and experiences became the basis of the Humanity in the Landscape theme, which soon became a frame for nearly all of her work.
Ms. Kyazze has exhibited in London, Oxford and New York, including, amongst others, participation in the Royal Photographic Society's International Print Competition. In addition to photography, she has published numerous papers and articles for organizations such as Oxfam and Save the Children.
Writing as A.B. Kyazze, her debut novel, Into the Mouth of the Lion, was published by Unbound in May 2021.
