About

Born in Washington, D.C., Lili Lakich grew up in a military family and lived in Arizona, California, Germany, Maryland, England, and New York City. She earned a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and attended the London Film School before settling in Los Angeles in 1968.
An award-winning art director, Lili juggled entertainment advertising with her career as a neon artist. In 1981, she founded the Museum of Neon Art. Her illuminated neon sculptures have been exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States, Europe, Japan and Canada.
Her public art commissions include "Flyaway" at the Van Nuys FlyAway, "L.A. Angel" at California Plaza and "When the Eagle Flies" at the Washington Building, both in downtown Los Angeles, and "Guardian" at Miller Children's Hospital at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center.
She works out of her studio in the Arts District of downtown Los Angeles.
